My name is Antony McGarry-Thickitt, and I was born and raised on the island of Anglesey. I currently reside in the Nottingham area of the East Midlands region of the United Kingdom. As I day job, I've been primarily developing desktop, hand-held and web applications using a variety of technologies including VB.NET, ASP.NET, WPF and WinForms. My role has been varied, moving from front-end to back-end work as required.

I'm a lover of Dark Age and Medieval history as well as having general geeky interests like gaming, sci-fi and fantasy. My main draw is Doctor Who, followed by DC Comics characters, Star Wars, Firefly and Doctor Horrible. I am also extremely interested in the world of the spy and special forces operative - both in fiction and reality. Out of the house and office, I like to participate in Scouting and Bushcraft activities as well as shooting arrows at things. Or Archery as it's otherwise known.

I'm a self taught artist and designer with an interest and passion for comic art, portrait and figure work, print and web design. I have been involved with the creation of several logotypes and banners including the creation of a logo for the UK Comics Podcast Group as well as various banners, buttons and logos for the podcasts of the Geek Syndicate Network and their website. Additionally, I've been employed to produce back-matter designs and cover layouts for a number of book and CD cases for the Unseen Shadows transmedia project.

As part of my work for Geek Syndicate, I dabble in audio editing for a video-gaming podcast that I host and more recently have been moving into the world of video production, creating a number of video reviews on the site's YouTube channel.
